SWPL: PREMIER WEST DIVISION
MOUSEHOLE AFC 6 ST BLAZEY 0
Last time I visited Trungle Park, the home of Mousehole AFC was some years ago on a groundhop 0-0 fixture, so a revisit was on the cards and tonight was the night that was to happen. We arrived very early and was met by Brian and his dog Bobby(who has now become a twitter star on the Non League Dogs site). The club donated me and Hazels gate admission of £10 to the Blogs Charity for Nottingham Stroke Club to which we are so grateful and thankful of.
The match was delayed by 15 minutes as there had been a accident on the main A30 delaying the visitors.
I took my seat in the stand as the light began to dim and in the 2nd minute, HAYDEN TURNER put the Green Seagulls(the nickname for the homesters) in front from the penalty spot. In the 22nd minute, MARK RICHARDS finished close home after a swift passing movement from Mousehole.
It soon became 3-0 in the 24th minute, when HAYDEN TURNER broke away and fired home. The Saints then had their best period in the game forcing a couple of saves from the home keeper, but after 43 minutes, the game was out of sight when HAYDEN TURNER made it 4-0 to complete his hat trick.
In the 46th minute, it looked like disaster for the Saints when the Seagulls made it 5-0 through TALLAN MITCHELL. Now the home side were playing the ball around well with the visitors chasing shadows and then things got worse when they were reduced to 10 men for ten minutes after a dissent incident. Whilst down to 10 men, in the 62nd minute HAYDEN TURNER converted his fourth and his sides sixth goal of the night as the rain heavily fell in front of a good crowd.
Again we would like to thank Mousehole AFC for their kind donation and with the 6 goals scored this takes the running total for Nottingham Stroke Club for a amazing £1089.00
