PARKINS BRACE SINKS CITY

Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League

Premier Division

WOODTHORPE PARK RANGERS FC 3 SOUTHWELL CITY FC 2

Having been to watch the 2pm kick off between United Grays FC v Hucknall Town Reserves on one of Basford United FC's outside pitches, this gave me the chance to pull in the Second Half on the Premier Division match between second placed Woodthorpe Park Rangers and 7th placed Southwell City FC. On arrival just before half time, the sides were level at 1-1, a early goal by the home sides ADAM LIMB had been pulled back by a own goal.

The Second Half kicked off and Woodthorpe pressed forward with Markell Bailey slipping the ball just wide of the post, Southwell broke down the left side and saw a header go narrowly wide, the game was being played at a fast pace with some good football from both sides and in the 56th minute, it as CONNOR PARKIN who put Rangers back in front.

Rangers had a chance to make it 3-1 but the City keeper was in fine form, it looked like the missed chance may well turn the game as in City's next move they were level through a BRADLEY PEACE-MCDONALD header.

On 84 minutes came Rangers winner from a Bailey free kick, in whipped CONNOR PARKIN to slam the ball to give his side a 3-2 win.
